TALA has been on a rocket ship since its founding in 2019 by entrepreneur Grace Beverley. Built on largely organic social, today we are a digital-first, multichannel women’s activewear brand with a multifaceted growth and retention strategy.
Following a £5m fundraise from world-class institutional investors and growing global media attention, TALA is entering an exciting new phase of growth, including the opening of two stores in London.
Now, we’re taking TALA beyond London, and Bicester Village, you’re next.
This will be for a FTC from November 26 to January 27
Responsibilities
Goods In & Stock Flow
- Own stock flow end-to-end, from delivery to shop floor
- Plan delivery days around service yard access, resourcing the team ahead of every drop
- Receive, check and book in deliveries on arrival, escalating discrepancies to Logistics
- Set and hold a clear delivery-to-floor turnaround standard
Processing, Pricing & Retail Ready
- Own the "retail ready" standard: steamed, sized, hung, tagged, ticketed and floor-ready
- Manage pricing and ticketing with total accuracy, including was/now compliance
- Execute markdowns and price changes to deadline, including overnight where needed
- Build repeatable processing routines that hold accuracy at volume
- Track units-per-hour to plan labour for peak drops

Stock Accuracy & Inventory Integrity
- Own stock file accuracy as a core deliverable
- Run a disciplined cycle count programme, prioritising high-value and problem lines
- Investigate negative stock, barcode issues and mis-scans, feeding root causes to HQ
- Lead stocktake prep and execution, including exception resolution
- Own shrinkage performance with the Store Manager, fixing loss drivers
Replenishment & Trading Support
- Keep the floor fully sized and replenished at open, through the day and at close
- Partner with the Store Manager on floor moves, launches and campaigns
- Feed back size/line performance, sell-through and gaps to Store Manager and Merchandising
- Support omnichannel fulfilment (click & collect etc.) to set service levels
Backroom Management & Space
- Design a stockroom layout that's logical, labelled and quick to pick from
- Manage capacity proactively, flagging space risk before it hits trade
- Own backroom housekeeping, packaging and waste in line with sustainability goals
- Keep equipment, consumables and ticketing supplies stocked

Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop the stockroom team
- Own rota planning, matching labour to delivery schedule and peaks within budget
- Recruit, onboard and train new starters on BOH processes
- Set daily targets and hold the team to them through visible leadership
Compliance, Safety & Deputising
- Ensure health and safety compliance across all back of house areas, including manual handling, safe stacking, fire exits and equipment checks, with regular audits and documented training
- Embed loss prevention across goods in, stockroom and waste
- Meet all centre operating standards
- Act as key holder; deputise for the Store Manager in their absence
Qualifications
- Retail experience (fashion, activewear or wellness preferred) and genuine passion for the space
- Exceptional communicator who connects with customers and inspires the team
- Proactive problem-solver, thrives solo or in a team
- Strong visual merchandising eye and attention to detail
- Great multitasker across service, sales and operations
- Passionate about building lasting customer relationships
