Job Title: Retail Supervisor

Reporting to: Store Manager

Location: ME+EM, Marylebone, London

Contract Type: Full Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

About the Role

The ME+EM Supervisor is a key holder. You are a key pillar of the management team. You embody the core values of the brand and are responsible for delivering an authentic and memorable service approach. You are responsible for creating a positive working environment and can demonstrate a clear communication style in line with the management team. You have a complete understanding of ME+EM policies, operations and best practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a brand representative at all times.
  • Be a leader to the team and represent the management team.
  • Prioritise and delegate daily tasks to promote smooth running.
  • Be acutely aware of surroundings to support safety of employees and customers.
  • Be responsible for managing employee absence when required.
  • Be confident in supporting staff wellbeing and knowing where to signpost.
  • Train others in how to provide the best experience through speed and accuracy.
  • Display exemplary behavior in time keeping, shop floor etiquette and customer relations.
  • Expert in product availability instore and online.
  • Be confident in navigating the customer, suggesting alternatives or fulfilling their product requests either within another store or online.
  • Promote ‘one business’ mindset.
  • Build organic, loyal and long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Carry out personal styling sessions with confidence.
  • Display exceptional confidence with styling, outfit building and recommendations.
  • Influence others with your knowledge.
  • Offer solutions to customer complaints or escalate if necessary to the management team.
  • Display high level of telephone etiquette when using the store phone and able to train others to the same standard.
  • Ensure a professional tone is used when using company email addresses.
  • Open and close the store.
  • Be an expert in till functions and able to train others.
  • Embrace change and support the roll out of new systems.
  • Advice on the importance of data collection and ensuring GDPR guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure that the store environment and VM are prioritised daily. Enrol others to contribute and maintain.
  • Delegate effectively to ensure replenishment of stock.
  • Support the Stockroom Assistant/Supervisor with deliveries & stock recalls to meet deadlines.
  • Be responsible for own H&S and ensuring H&S processes are followed in store.
  • Follow company procedures to report any maintenance issues in store promptly.

About You:

  • Experience in people management in a high volume, fast paced environment (2 years preferred)
  • Commercial understanding of modern luxury
  • Confident in Visual Merchandising
  • Coach, detail oriented and enthusiastic
  • Able to provide examples of exceptional results in Retail
  • An enthusiasm for store management and Brand leadership
  • Team player, communication skills, positive attitude, proactive, can-do mindset
  • Able to provide examples of leading by example, developing others and contributing to the success of the company
