Retail Supervisor
Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Retail Supervisor to work:
- 40 hours a week
- 5 days a week Monday – Saturday (flexibility may be needed)
- Annual Salary £29,428
In order to fully support the growth of our store, we are looking to recruit a Retail Supervisor to help the Store Management team in overseeing the daily operations.
Role Responsibilities
Key Tasks

Store Operations:
- Responsible for Opening and Closing of the store in a manager’s absence.
- Responsible for daily floor plan, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, doing the right things to drive results.
- Acts as a role model to the team, demonstrating excellent end-to-end customer service and motivating the team to do the same.
- Plans and executes motivational, inspirational, informative team briefs throughout each day.
- Understands KPIs and how they are used to drive Store results.
- Takes ownership of contributing to store sales targets and KPIs including Revenue, Margin, Conversion, Footfall, Quotes, and ATV to maximize profitability of the store.
- Takes a leading role with Store Outreach by ensuring activities and resources are incorporated into the daily plan. Demonstrates best practice to the team during phone calls and visits.
- Identifies revenue potential within the local area including Regular and New Business opportunities.

General Duties:
- Partake in general shop floor duties, including stock replenishment and processing deliveries. Including but not limited to housekeeping, stock replenishment, and processing deliveries.
- Ensure the Store consistently exceeds visual merchandising standards including promotional areas to meet compliance.
- Accurately complete stock auditing processes in line with company compliance.
- Ensure the team processes customer payment transactions in line with policy.
- Ensure end-of-day reconciliation is completed in full while ensuring discrepancies are investigated and reported in line with policy.
- Daily floor walk document completed to ensure Store standards are consistently met and the Team understand the importance.
- Conduct weekly role play scenarios to develop the team's skills in areas such as sales, conflict resolution, and outreach.
- Adhere to daily operating checklist, delegating and following up with the team to ensure the smooth running of the Store.
- Treat all visitors to the store with respect and consideration using training provided to assess and approach difficult situations with the aim of a positive solution.

Required Qualifications

Experience:
- Experience in customer service within any sector.
- Supervising a team.
- Delegating and organizing workload.
- Experience of working with targets and KPIs.
- Retail experience.
- Rota management.
- First point of escalation.

Skills:
- An open and inclusive outlook with interpersonal sensitivity.
- Enjoys motivating a team to achieve targets.
- Organized with great timekeeping.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Great verbal and written communicator.
