Role Overview
Working within the awesome IT Team, the role provides national multi-functional technical support to the business through the following areas:
- Deployment – Primary contact for assessing and delivering system and infrastructure upgrades.
- Supporting the Opening of Pubs within our growing Management Partnerships division, roll out of Projects, managing and supporting the implementation of ePos, Payments, Order @ Table, Wi-fi solutions, and Capex programme.
- This includes the deployment and testing of Point of Sale (POS), card and smart payments, handheld (POS), digital online ordering, and other consumer-facing retail functionality, all to enhance our guest experience.

Accountabilities
- Act as primary lead conducting system surveys and implementing hardware and delivering infrastructure upgrades.
- Take ownership and be the point of contact for escalated queries in the event of service issues.
- Providing first-class IT operational support to our Pubs, Operational & Property Teams.
- Regular attendance at Capex / Investment Programme and Operational Regional team meetings to keep up to date with business activity and to build and maintain strong relationships – ensuring that activity is planned in line with transfers and investments programme.
- In conjunction with all the appropriate internal teams and third parties, manage all IT involvement in acquisitions, refurbishments, and disposals of Management Partnership pubs.
- Support the successful deployment of retail systems and payment solutions across the UK at Pub level.
- Prompt response in helping to troubleshoot issues within our ePos/Comms & Wi-Fi deployment.
- Striving for a right first-time approach when dealing with all pub-related queries.
- Ability to recognize and quickly respond to the wider business activity and objectives, identifying ways in which the wider IT function can support.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support to both external customers and internal stakeholders in a professional manner and in line with company policy.
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and drive results.
- Building strong and effective relationships across all areas of the business and externally with our key suppliers.
- Proactively liaise with field operations, internal support teams, and suppliers as appropriate, in order to achieve accurate completion of all tasks and enquiries.
- Any other ad hoc work as required in order to support the team and wider business.
- Carry out onsite surveys to identify the most appropriate IT solutions and deliver system enhancements.

Person Specification – Technical Competencies/Professional expertise
- A good understanding of telephony and wi-fi deployment is essential.
- Relevant experience demonstrating technical and process knowledge.
- Knowledge of hospitality operations is highly desirable.
- Experience in supplier & project management is desirable.
- Ability to confidently form effective working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business and with external suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being flexible and able to cope under pressure/adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Competent user of MS Office programs.
- Full UK Driving license and ability to travel as per business demands.
- National role covering pub estate across the UK with overnight stays.
