Role Description
The Retail Team Leader role at Superdrug is a part-time, on-site position based in London. In this role, the team leader supports daily store operations, including supervising team members, coordinating shift activities, and helping to ensure shelves are well stocked and displays are maintained to brand standards. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, supporting sales targets, handling customer queries, and assisting with transactions and basic cash handling procedures. The team leader helps implement promotional activities, ensures compliance with store policies and health and safety guidelines, and contributes to a positive, inclusive working environment. This position also includes coaching team members, providing feedback, and supporting onboarding of new colleagues to maintain high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.

- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with skills in customer service, sales support, and handling customer queries.
- Team leadership abilities, including supervising colleagues, coordinating shifts, and contributing to team training and performance feedback.
- Operational skills in stock management, merchandising, and maintaining store standards in line with brand and safety guidelines.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills, with the ability to use point-of-sale systems and follow store procedures accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support an inclusive, respectful workplace.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing customer and store needs.
- Availability to work part-time hours, including weekends and evenings as required by store scheduling.
- Previous experience in health and beauty retail and knowledge of related products is an advantage, as is familiarity with online and in-store integrated retail (O+O) services.
