We are looking for an experienced data leader to take end-to-end ownership of our Retail Finance data and business intelligence capability. Directing a team of Data Engineers and BI Analysts, you will be accountable for delivering trusted data, reporting and insight across the Retail Finance business. This includes major transformation programmes, regulatory and operational reporting, business-led demand and the ongoing support and development of our data platforms. This is broader than a traditional Product Owner role.

You will provide delivery management and solution oversight from initial requirements through engineering, reporting, testing, implementation and transition into support.

You will join us at an important point in our data journey. Our established estate includes technologies such as Oracle Data Warehouse, Oracle GoldenGate and BusinessObjects, while our strategic landscape increasingly uses Informatica CDC, Snowflake and Power BI.

You will ensure that today’s services remain dependable in a regulated environment while leading the transition towards modern, scalable and reusable data solutions.

What You Will Do

• Lead, develop and set priorities for a team of Data Engineers and BI Analysts.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of Retail data and BI solutions.
• Oversee data deliverables across major business and technology programmes.
• Balance strategic programmes with operational reporting, regulatory commitments and day-to-day business demand.
• Provide solution oversight, challenging designs and ensuring alignment with architecture, security and data standards.
• Maintain stable, secure and well-controlled data platforms and reporting services.
• Lead the transition from legacy technologies to strategic cloud-based platforms and reusable engineering patterns.
• Manage delivery partners and suppliers, ensuring quality, value and effective knowledge transfer.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business, technology and change stakeholders.
• Contribute to Retail’s data and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with wider enterprise data, governance and AI direction.
