Job Title: Retail / VM Assistant at Baukjen within Ely’s

Reporting To: Senior VM Manager / Commercial Director

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Location: Central / Greater London with additional required travel

Working Hours: Store trade dependent (37.5 hrs per week)

Holidays: 20 days per annum

We’re excited to be welcoming a new addition into our retail team. Your responsibility will be to manage the day to day of our newest key location in Greater London, as well as occasional visits to other UK sites dependent on needs of the business. Ensuring our mats look spectacular and looking after our customers in delivering exceptional service, maximising sell through and increasing our sales per sq foot. Your contact points within the business will be primarily with the merchandising and retail / visual merchandising team and your feedback on store performance will be paramount for our weekly trade meetings.

Duties and responsibilities to include the following:

  • Daily management of our Greater London flagship concession. Ensuring VM standards are correctly represented / maintained and product commerciality stays current.
  • Driving sales for the Baukjen concession; analysing daily / weekly sales data to identify trends, create actionable sales plans and convert foot traffic to exceed store revenue targets.
  • Reporting on stock levels and operational management in key sites across the estate.
  • Provide staff training with Ely’s / Morley’s staff to help educate and inform brand values and expectations.
  • Build supportive relationships with the stores to ensure guidelines are implemented correctly in a timely manner.
  • Collate store feedback and information for store reporting back to Head Office.
  • Support the VM Manager with the seasonal brand guidelines set up in the flagship store.
  • Provide support of store visits to our surrounding London portfolio in line with business requirements.
  • Assist in store openings working with the VM Manager.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects for Head Office.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Previous retail experience required, VM experience is desirable but not essential.
  • An expert on selling with a proven track record of driving and meeting sales targets.
  • Willing to travel across London sites as well as the occasional visits to other parts of the UK.
  • Excellent communication with a passion to provide outstanding client/customer service.
  • Attention to detail, organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to use initiative and multi-task.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Happy to work within a small team which has a big personality.
