Job Overview
A busy private family based in Knightsbridge is seeking an experienced, professional, and engaging Retainer Nanny with a mature approach to care for their three children, born in February 2015, March 2017, and October 2020. This is a retainer position, requiring the nanny to provide sickness cover as well as holiday cover for the children’s Rota Nannies. The family is looking for someone highly flexible and adaptable, who can ensure consistency of care at all times. This is a fully staffed household, so the main focus of the role is the care and wellbeing of the children. During school hours, the Retainer Nanny will be expected to assist with administrative duties and planning for evenings, weekends, and school holidays. The nanny must also be happy to travel, as the family travels within Europe and internationally during the school holidays.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
