The Team You'll Join
Our Retention Marketing team in Bath manages subscriber loyalty and customer lifecycle strategies across Future's global portfolio. Based in our Bath office on a hybrid basis, we deliver data-led onboarding, engagement, and win-back campaigns for digital and print subscribers. You'll join a collaborative CRM group that values customer data, multi-channel innovation, and long-term lifetime value. This 12-month maternity cover role offers an exciting opportunity to guide subscriber retention across leading specialist media brands.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Head of Retention in Bath, you'll manage subscriber retention roadmaps across our digital and print subscriber portfolio. You'll oversee multi-channel customer journeys, automated renewal sequences, and targeted win-back campaigns to reduce churn and boost customer lifetime value. In this role, you'll work closely with CRM, Design, Editorial, and Acquisition teams to deliver high-performing lifecycle marketing.

On a daily basis, you'll build and test automated email series using CRM and CDP platforms. You'll analyze monthly retention metrics, translate campaign data into strategic insights, and test win-back promotional pricing models. Additionally, you'll coordinate campaign roll-outs within an agile sprint workflow and manage retention budget allocation.
- Manage multi-channel onboarding, renewal, and win-back campaigns to increase subscriber engagement and reduce churn
- Optimize automated customer lifecycle journeys and email communication workflows across print and digital brands
- Deliver monthly performance reporting, translating retention analytics into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with CRM, Design, Editorial, and Acquisition teams to create engaging, on-brand subscriber campaigns
- Recommend strategic win-back pricing and promotional offers aligned with commercial revenue goals
- Manage retention budget allocation to ensure strong return on marketing investment and long-term customer value
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrable experience in retention, CRM marketing, or customer lifecycle management within subscription or recurring revenue models
- Proficiency using CRM or CDP platforms, email marketing automation tools, and customer analytics software
- Strong data analysis skills with an ability to translate performance metrics into clear campaign recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills with experience writing copy for email and multi-channel customer journeys
- Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside cross-functional teams in agile workflows
- Proactive approach to testing new lifecycle initiatives, pricing strategies, and customer retention campaigns

Minimum Requirements
- Experience in retention or CRM marketing within subscription, digital publishing, or membership sectors
- Practical experience using CRM software, email automation platforms, and marketing data dashboards
- Ability to work from our Bath office on a hybrid basis

The expected range for this role is £30,000 - £40,000
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week from our Bath Office.
