Role Description
The Retention Mortgage Adviser is a full-time, Hybrid/on-site role based in Willerby Hull, focused on maintaining and deepening relationships with existing mortgage customers.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Reviewing customer portfolios
- Identifying remortgage and product transfer opportunities
- Providing clear, compliant advice tailored to each client’s circumstances
The role involves:
- Conducting on-site consultations
- Preparing accurate mortgage recommendations and documentation
- Managing follow-up communications to ensure a smooth customer journey
The adviser will collaborate with internal teams and local partners to:
- Coordinate appointments
- Process applications efficiently
- Maintain detailed records in line with regulatory requirements
Full administration support is also provided.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently.
- Experience in mortgage advising, lending, or financial services, including familiarity with remortgages, product transfers, and protection products.
- Solid understanding of mortgage products, affordability assessments, and relevant regulations, with a commitment to ethical and compliant advice.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, office software, and digital tools to manage client records, track opportunities, and prepare documentation.
- Proven organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work effectively on-site.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CeMAP or equivalent) or a willingness to work toward them within agreed timeframes. Ideally 2 years experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.
- Previous experience in a retention, account management, or sales-focused advisory role is highly beneficial.
