Salary: £28,715 - £31,905 pro rata depending on experience (+ on call payments when applicable)

Location: The Rose Garden, Hereford

Basis: 12 Month FTC, Part Time (16 hours)

Are you a Housing Officer looking to make a difference? Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living?

We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our Specialist Housing team based at The Rose Garden, Hereford, with occasional travel to Platform Housing offices when required for training.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, part-time role, working an average of 16 hours per week. You will typically work 8 hours a day on Tuesday 8.30-5pm & Wednesday 8.30-5pm.

What could you be doing?

As a Retirement Housing Officer, you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment. You'll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation.

You will provide effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy agreements will be a key part of the role.

What are somethings that we need from you?

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role in a Housing organisation or with older people in a community/retirement housing.
  • You will be customer focused and may have experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.
  • An awareness of working with vulnerable Adults would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of TEC alarm systems and Fire Alarm Systems, such as Le Grand and Appello is desirable.
  • Great interpersonal skills and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services too.
  • Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.
  • Due to the travel to offices and other facilities, a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential. You will also need to be based in Herefordshire.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
