Retirement Housing Officer

We are recruiting a full-time Retirement Housing Officer to join our team! Within this role, you'll look after a Retirement Housing scheme and our residents who live in them, ensuring they are safe, supported, and able to live comfortably in their homes.

About Us

We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

In 2024 we launched our five-year Corporate Strategy, which runs to 2029. Our purpose is to provide high-quality homes, services, and support to our customers, so we’ve worked with colleagues and customers to find out what’s important to them. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives.

Duties Include:

  • Look after a Retirement Housing scheme and our residents living in them. This means you will:
    • Work with customers and external agencies to ensure they are happy, safe, and comfortable in their homes.
    • Perform daily physical visits and/or phone calls to residents to conduct a welfare check.
    • Oversee the delivery of tenancy management on the scheme, such as:
      • Manage empty properties on scheme & new lettings of properties to suitable customers, organising open days to promote the scheme and service.
      • Work with other departments and agencies to resolve any issues that arise relating to the tenancies are dealt with.
    • Ensure that all scheme services are of high quality, consistently delivered, and offer the best value for our residents.
    • Take appropriate action on safeguarding concerns and ensure they are reported in line with policy.
    • Take appropriate action on ASB incidents and complaints, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.
    • Oversee use of communal areas, monitor building safety & maintenance issues, and outside services such as window cleaners and grounds maintenance.
    • Undertake cyclical compliance testing such as fire alarm, Tunstall equipment, and preform in line with procedure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
