The purpose of the Brand Marketing team is to generate increased brand love, awareness and consideration in customers, encouraging existing customers to shop more with us and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported by owned channels, including ATL and organic social, as well as earned media and influencer engagement, underpinned by consistent creative and tone of voice. We work closely with the Commercial teams, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering and the work we do as a responsible retailer to support our local communities and the world in which we operate.

The role of Retoucher will work on high profile projects as part of the Studio team to ensure our content is delivered on time and to a high standard of quality. Having a strong understanding of techniques and technologies and experience in creating quality imagery is key to this role.

What you'll be doing

As part of our Studio team, you'll help bring our products to life through beautiful, accurate imagery that inspires customers and makes them feel at home. You'll have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working at pace, and be happy juggling multiple projects while maintaining high standards.

You'll Be

  • Managing your day-to-day workload with support and guidance from senior team members.
  • Interpreting editing briefs and ensuring every image is delivered accurately and on brand.
  • Taking a proactive approach to your work, using your initiative to solve problems and keep projects moving.
  • Applying your understanding of photography and lighting to achieve the best possible results.
  • Working closely with Photographers and the wider Studio team to keep workflows running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supporting the studio floor to ensure all imagery is delivered to the required brief and quality standards.
  • Carrying out quality checks to maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all imagery.
  • Working efficiently across a high volume of images while meeting production schedules and business deadlines.
  • Championing colour accuracy across all imagery used throughout the business.
  • Keeping an eye on industry trends, competitors and emerging best practice.
  • Building strong relationships across the Studio Support Centre and Studio teams, helping to showcase the value and impact of the work we do.
  • Supporting and collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping the team succeed together.
  • Contributing to larger internal and external projects with support from senior colleagues where needed.
  • Getting involved in ad hoc studio tasks and projects that help the wider team deliver their best work.

You’ll have a great eye for detail, a passion for creating beautiful imagery, and the confidence to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You'll enjoy working at pace, solving problems and collaborating with others to make sure every image looks its very best.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Strong skills in Photoshop and image editing software, including:
    • Recolouring imagery.
    • Ensuring colour consistency and accuracy across image sets.
    • Retouching and cleaning dust, scratches and imperfections.
    • Cutting out products to a clean white background.
    • Resizing and preparing imagery for multiple uses.
    • More advanced retouching and image manipulation, including compositing multiple images and matching lighting, shadows and perspective seamlessly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A highly organised approach, with outstanding attention to detail.
  • The ability to stay calm, focused and reliable when working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Confidence working independently, while also being a supportive and collaborative team player.
  • A proactive mindset and positive approach to challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet when things don't go quite to plan.
  • The flexibility to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
  • A genuine interest in homes, interiors and lifestyle brands.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Plenty of ideas and a willingness to share them.
