Company Description

Eden Energy Management is a UK-wide specialist in PAS 2035 retrofit solutions, supporting housing providers, local authorities and contractors in the delivery of high-quality, compliant retrofit and decarbonisation programmes. Our services cover the full retrofit journey, including Retrofit Assessment, Retrofit Design, Retrofit Coordination, technical consultancy, project management and air tightness testing. We work collaboratively with our clients and delivery partners to navigate the technical and regulatory requirements of retrofit, ensuring solutions are practical, compliant and appropriate for each property. With a strong focus on quality, collaboration and successful delivery, Eden Energy Management is a trusted partner across Warm Homes programmes, social housing retrofit and wider energy efficiency projects throughout the UK.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Retrofit Assessor / Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will carry out domestic energy assessments and PAS 2035-compliant Retrofit Assessments across a range of residential retrofit programmes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking detailed property surveys and Retrofit Assessments in accordance with PAS 2035 requirements.
  • Completing domestic energy assessments and producing accurate Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
  • Collecting, recording and reviewing property, building fabric and energy performance data.
  • Producing clear, accurate and comprehensive assessment reports.
  • Identifying existing building conditions, constraints and potential risks that may influence subsequent retrofit design.
  • Working closely with Retrofit Coordinators, Retrofit Designers and Project Managers to ensure assessment information supports effective design and delivery.
  • Liaising professionally with residents, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring assessments and supporting evidence meet internal quality assurance and scheme requirements.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of relevant standards, guidance and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Eden's assessment and quality assurance processes.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the South/South East, combining property surveys with office and home-based reporting and activities. Travel to project locations will be required.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate should have:

  • An accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification with the ability to lodge EPCs.
  • A recognised Retrofit Assessor qualification and practical experience undertaking Retrofit Assessments.
  • A good working knowledge of PAS 2035, domestic construction, building fabric and energy efficiency measures.
  • Experience using EPC and Retrofit Assessment software and digital data collection systems.
  • The ability to identify and accurately record building defects, construction types and property-specific constraints.
  • Strong report-writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and accurately.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assessments and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A professional and resident-focused approach when working within occupied homes.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations.

Experience working within social housing, Warm Homes or other funded retrofit programmes would be advantageous. A Level 3 qualification in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings would be advantageous. Additional relevant retrofit, energy efficiency or building-related qualifications would also be beneficial. Accredited to both ECMK & Elemhurst.

Salary

£30,000.00 - £40,000.00 DOE
