Hybrid: our office in Kelly Bray near Callington, on the road across Plymouth and the South West, and from home

Lead the retrofit coordination of a Warm Homes scheme from first survey to final handover, backed by an experienced team and software built to take the admin off your plate.

About us

Dartmoor Energy is a renewable energy and retrofit surveying company based on the Devon and Cornwall border, and winner of Energy Consultant of the Year at the Energy Efficiency Awards. Our aim is to simplify the often confusing world of domestic energy efficiency by giving concise, expert advice on energy measures to a varied customer base.

We are a team of highly experienced and qualified Retrofit Coordinators, Retrofit Assessors, Retrofit Designers, Heat Pump Designers, Solar PV Designers and Domestic Energy Assessors, delivering high quality survey work with a focus on using technology to improve processes and results. We have built our own fully developed in-house software to manage and deliver every project, so our team spends its time on the home, not chasing paperwork.

Over the last eight years we have worked on more than 1,000 properties, from single solar PV systems to whole-house eco renovations, and have delivered LAD, HUG, SHDF and Warm Homes schemes for our clients. We pride ourselves on our team ethic, work environment and flexible approach to work/life balance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role

We are recruiting an experienced Retrofit Coordinator and Assessor to lead the retrofit coordination of our Warm Homes Local Grant work and see it through to a successful finish. You will be the lead Retrofit Coordinator on the scheme, with a direct line to the directors and the authority to make the coordination calls.

Warm Homes Local Grant funds insulation, heating, ventilation and renewable upgrades for low income households.

You will own each home’s journey from first visit to handover:

  • Coordinate projects under PAS 2035:2023: improvement option evaluations (IOEs), medium term improvement plans (MTPs), customer communication and contact, design oversight working with our head designer, compliance oversight working with our head of compliance, TrustMark lodgement and customer handover, managed through our in-house delivery software
  • Carry out retrofit assessments using PAS Hub and ECMK: RdSAP, condition, occupancy and ventilation surveys, with clear, accurate reports
  • Carry out site visits throughout delivery to check work is progressing to design and to standard, and resolve issues on the ground
  • Be the main point of contact for householders, keeping them informed at every stage and explaining the process in plain English
  • Work with our head designer, head of compliance, client and local installers to ensure our consistent high quality results are maintained throughout the process
  • Deliver high quality survey work and record keeping using our in-house software and customer-facing portal, so every home is compliant, lodged and paid on time
