Probation Officer / SPO / PSO / UPW Supervisor – Nationwide
We're recruiting experienced Probation Officers, Senior Probation Officers, Probation Service Officers, Unpaid Work Supervisors and Approved Premises staff to work for the Probation Service.
Whether you're currently practising, taking a look at your next move, or returning to the service after time away, we have live opportunities across multiple regions and role types.
Current opportunities include:
- Senior Probation Officer (SPO) – team leadership, risk management, case escalation
- Probation Officer (PO) – caseload management, OASys assessments, statutory supervision
- Probation Services Officer (PSO) – case administration, compliance monitoring, offender engagement
- Unpaid Work Supervisor (UPW) – community payback supervision, work group management
- Approved Premises (AP) staff – residential risk management, resident supervision, safeguarding

What we're looking for:
- Experience in probation, criminal justice or a related public protection setting
- Working knowledge of OASys, MAPPA and risk assessment frameworks
- PQF qualification (where relevant) or equivalent practitioner experience
- Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS and prison/HMPPS security clearance (BPSS/EL1/EL2)
- Strong communication, case recording and multi-agency liaison skills
