Location: North London Recycling Centres & Transport Operations (various sites)
About LondonEnergy
At LondonEnergy, we're proud of our vital role in managing North London's waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you'll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.
By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.
About the Role
We are seeking an RRC & Transport Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across LondonEnergy's eight Reuse & Recycling Centres (RRCs) and Transport & Logistics operations.
You will lead two RRC Contracts Managers and the Transport & Logistics Manager, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, commercially effective, and customer-focused operations across all sites. This is a senior multi-site leadership role requiring someone who can balance Health & Safety, environmental compliance, financial performance, customer service, asset management, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with the North London Waste Authority (NLWA), boroughs, suppliers, contractors, regulators, and members of the public, while also supporting the development of future operational and capital projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
