Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Revenue Accountant to own revenue recognition accounting across Digital Science's entities and act as the business's overall IFRS technical accounting expert, reporting to the VP, Accounting & Tax.
This role brings dedicated IFRS 15 expertise to item-code and contract revenue, provides technical accounting treatment guidance across the wider Accounting & Tax team as new standards or complex transactions arise, and works closely with FRPA & Finance Business Partnering to keep ARR reporting and statutory revenue recognition aligned as the business scales its subscription and B2C revenue models.
Please note - due to business need, we can only accept applications from candidates who reside in the UK, where we have an established legal entity. If you apply from outside of this area, your application will not be considered.
Please be aware that we may close this position early if we receive a high volume of applications, so we encourage you to apply promptly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as Digital Science's overall IFRS technical accounting expert — providing technical accounting treatment guidance across the Accounting & Tax team
- Research and advise on the accounting treatment of new or complex transactions — new products, and new IFRS standards or amendments as they arise, in partnership with the VP, Accounting & Tax.
- Own revenue recognition accounting under IFRS 15 — for item-code and contract revenue across entities.
- Reconcile deferred revenue on a monthly basis — ensuring alignment with billing/AR records.
- Maintain and improve revenue recognition policies and documentation — as products, contracts, and pricing models evolve.
- Partner with FRPA & Finance Business Partnering — to ensure consistency between ARR metrics and statutory revenue recognition.
- Partner with Product and Commercial teams — on the revenue treatment of new products, pricing models, and contract structures.
- Work with Accounts Receivable — on billing and revenue-related queries.
- Support external and internal audits — with specific responsibility for revenue-related balances and disclosures.
- Maintain internal controls over revenue recognition — and recommend improvements as needed.
- Act as project owner for formalising and documenting revenue recognition policy — across product lines, aligning it with ARR reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities — within revenue accounting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
