Role Overview

We're partnering with a major blue-chip FMCG business to recruit a Revenue Growth Management Controller into a highly influential commercial leadership position.

This role has evolved beyond a Senior Manager remit. The business is looking for someone who can lead RGM from the front - setting the agenda, shaping senior commercial decisions and creating a clear strategy for how the organisation maximises revenue and profit over the next three to five years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting Structure: Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you'll have significant exposure to the UK Leadership Team and lead the RGM team.
  • Strategic Focus: The challenge isn't simply finding more data. It's turning increasingly complex market, customer and promotional dynamics into simple, compelling commercial narratives that people understand, believe in and act upon.
  • Core Areas: You'll take strategic ownership of the RGM agenda across the core commercial levers of:
    • Price & Promotional Strategy
    • Pack Price Architecture (PPA)
    • Occasion, Brand, Product, Price & Channel (OBPPC)
    • Assortment & Mix
    • Trade Terms & Investment
    • Revenue and Margin Opportunity Identification
  • Long-term Strategy: You'll build a pipeline of opportunities beyond the annual operating plan, determining where the business should invest, where it needs to change and which commercial choices will create the greatest long-term value.
  • Promotional Effectiveness: A major priority will be promotional effectiveness - challenging existing approaches, understanding where investment is genuinely creating incremental value and developing a clearer strategy for future promotional activity.
  • Analytical and Commercial Skills: You'll need the analytical capability to get underneath the numbers, combined with the commercial presence and storytelling ability to simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
