Champneys Head Office
Contract: Full Time
Salary: up to £45,000
Role includes: being on site at least 3 days per week.
Role Purpose
The Resort Revenue Manager maximises room revenue and profit across Champneys' three Wellness Resorts whilst contributing to wider commercial objectives. This central role leads rooms and package revenue strategy, pricing execution, forecasting, and performance analysis. It suits an ambitious professional progressing from a Group Revenue Analyst role or a single-hotel Revenue Manager ready for multi-property responsibility.
You will compile and interpret internal and market data to set pricing and mix, optimise yield, and ensure Resort General Managers and wider teams have the information and guidance to budget, forecast, analyse, and act across all revenue streams stemming from rooms (treatments, day spa, food & beverage, retail, and ancillary). Success depends on clear communication, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the tenacity to develop reporting and unlock value from our systems.
Initial focus: align the Wellness Resorts to the same reporting, forecasting, and revenue-management standards as our Hotels, deploying best practice tailored to each resort's needs.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy, Pricing & Yield
- Own pricing strategy for rooms and packages by resort and season; deploy effective yield management to maximise RevPAR and TRevPAR.
- Analyse booking curves, demand drivers, pick-up and pace; recommend actions by lead time and channel.
- Build and maintain BAR, targeted offers, length-of-stay controls and promotions to stimulate low-demand periods.
- Initiate and configure packages at key times (e.g., midweek/day-spa-led, retreat/weekend bundles) in coordination with central and teams.
- Ensure timely rate loading and updates across all systems and partner sites; safeguard rate parity and integrity.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Performance
- Produce accurate daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts with General Manager (rooms, ADR, RevPAR, mix, TRevPAR) and contribute to annual budgets.
- Track performance versus budget/forecast, diagnose variances, and lead corrective action plans.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports with clear insight and recommended actions for General Managers and the Senior Leadership Team.
Market & Competitor Intelligence
- Maintain a current view of competitor pricing, availability, reviews, and positioning; translate trends into practical tactics.
- Monitor macro and local market trends (events, seasonality, shifts in channel contribution) and adjust strategy accordingly.
Distribution Strategy & Channel Management
- Own and continuously evolve the resorts' distribution strategy across direct (brand site, call centre) and third-party channels (OTAs, metasearch, GDS), balancing reach against cost of sale.
- Maintain up-to-date, working knowledge of OTA merchandising and ranking mechanics — e.g. Booking.com's Genius programme and visibility algorithm, Expedia's Traveler Preference/Add-On Advantage — to maximise organic placement without over-discounting.
- Use rate-shopping and parity tools to monitor and enforce rate parity in real time across all channels.
- Own channel manager and PMS/OTA connectivity and content mapping, ensuring accurate, real-time availability and rate flow; troubleshoot integration issues with systems/IT partners.
- Understand cost of distribution by channel (commission, PPC/TravelAds spend) against incremental value, and actively shift mix toward the most profitable combination of direct and third-party channels.
- Keep pace with shifts in the distribution landscape — OTA algorithm and commission changes, consolidation among wholesalers/bedbanks, growth of mobile and metasearch bookings, loyalty-driven direct strategies — and translate them into resort-level action.
- Complete and negotiate LNR/RFP agreements aligned to resort demand calendars and profitability thresholds.
- Work with the CCO on group promotions and campaigns, ensuring timely set-up and measurement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
