Position: REVENUE MANAGER

Location: St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0LT

Salary: Up to £52,000 (depending upon experience)

Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time)

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Revenue Manager to lead the strategic development of the Income Administration and Credit Control section within the Finance department based at the Head Office in St Mellons, Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities For The Role Will Include

  • Managing the Income Administration and Credit Control section providing direction, guidance and support to the 12 members of staff responsible for the processing and collection of individual resident care income and other care related income.
  • Implementing a clear debt management strategy to maximise cash collection and reduce the risk of non-recoverability for both care home fees and residential property rental income.
  • Ensuring there is an effective internal control framework across all income related processes that is clearly documented and is applied consistently.
  • Overseeing the letting and collection of rent related to the portfolio of residential properties.
  • Providing regular reports to senior management on any matters relating to income and debt management.

Given the nature of the role this position will be primarily based at the Head Office in St Mellons. There will be an occasional but infrequent requirement to travel away from Head Office.

Experience And Skills Required

  • Extensive experience of working in an income and / or credit control environment at a management level is essential.
  • Good understanding of process management and the need for internal controls.
  • Confident communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the care home sector and / or the residential rental market would be beneficial but not essential.
