Revenue Operations Lead

Global expansion is broken. Without a local company, conversion rates fall, costs rise, and compliance gets messy. Outpost fixes it.

Selling internationally is a maze of tax, payments, and operational friction. Most brands avoid it, or expand slowly and expensively.

Outpost is your modular back office for global commerce.

Pick only what you need - tax, payments, treasury, or operations - and unlock new markets without the overhead. Sometimes we become liable for a merchant's taxes. Sometimes we become the legal reseller in each market and carry the payments, tax and compliance risk. Other times, we give you the tools to do it yourself.

We go live wherever a merchant needs to sell next, for digital and physical goods. That means we own the full stack - payments, tax, compliance, treasury, and merchant experience.

Sell anything, anywhere. Without compromise.

🧠 The Role

We're looking for our first Revenue Operations hire: the person who owns how revenue actually works at Outpost.

Your job is to build the RevOps machine. One source of truth for pipeline. One model that turns a merchant's volume, markets and product mix into a price. One set of numbers that the CEO, the board and the commercial team all agree on. And a handover from signed contract to live merchant that never drops anything.

This is a hands-on build role, not a reporting layer. You'll sit between sales, marketing, and operations, and you'll be the only person who can see the whole revenue system at once. You'll design it, instrument it, automate it, and then run it until it's good enough to hand over.

You'll work directly with the CEO, the Chief of Staff and the founding team.

🧗 What You'll Get

Yes, the work is intense. But in return you'll get scope and exposure most people wait 10 to 20 years to access.

You'll own a core function at a company solving one of the hardest problems in global commerce, you'll see every commercial decision before it happens, and you'll build a function from scratch with real budget and real backing. We won't handhold, but we'll coach you hard.

🧩 What You'll Do

Own the revenue system

  • Own the CRM (Attio) end to end: object model, stage definitions, required fields, hygiene, automation
  • Build the forecasting system and operationalise it with weekly pipeline review, monthly board numbers, and quarterly planning
  • Own the GTM stack: outbound sequencing, enrichment, routing, deduplication, attribution
  • Run the pipeline agentically. Build agentic system that enrich accounts, draft follow-ups, surface stalled deals and keep the CRM clean, so the team spends its time on the conversations and not the admin. You'll design the workflows, write the prompts, set the guardrails, and audit what the agents produce

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Analytics & performance insights

  • Own the revenue metrics that matter: GMV, ARR, take rate, win rate, sales cycle, pipeline coverage, cost of acquisition
  • Build the reporting the company runs on, and the pack investors see
  • Build the pricing and quoting model, and the deal desk discipline around it.

Operational execution

  • Own the handover from signed contract to live merchant, with operations, tax and engineering
  • Instrument time-to-live and revenue ramp, then attack both
  • Feed commercial reality back into the roadmap. You'll know which deals we lose and why before anyone else does

Build the function

  • Write the playbooks: qualification, scoping, pricing approval, renewal, expansion
  • Set the standard for what good data looks like, and hold the line on it
  • Hire behind you once the system is running

💥 Example Projects

  • Rebuild the pipeline in Attio so every deal has a stage definition, an owner, a close date and a modelled value, and the weekly review takes 20 minutes instead of two hours
  • Build the pricing calculator that turns a merchant's volume, market mix and product mix into a price, and retire the per-deal spreadsheet
  • Cut time from signed contract to first live transaction by half, working across operations, tax and engineering
  • Build the weekly revenue pack and the monthly investor pack, and automate the data pull behind both
  • Design the commission plan for the first commercial hires
  • Score the lead universe against our ICP and rebuild outbound targeting on top of it
  • Instrument the full funnel from LinkedIn and outbound through to closed won, and prove which channel actually pays
  • Forecast GMV by market and product, and tell the founding team where the $1BN does and doesn't come from

🧱 What We're Looking For

Ideal background:

  • 4 to 7 years in revenue operations, sales operations, business operations, or GTM strategy at a high-growth fintech, payments company, or B2B SaaS
  • Has built a revenue system from zero, not inherited a mature one
  • Fluent in CRM architecture and the outbound stack. We run Attio, Instantly and Apollo, but the tool matters less than knowing how to design the model underneath it
  • Strong analytical skills — advanced Excel or Sheets, experience with BI tools

Signals we care about:

  • Ridiculous bias for action. You solve, you don't observe
  • Systems thinker who still does the work. You fix the broken report, then remove the reason it broke
  • Analytically strong. You can quantify a process, not just describe it
  • Strong EQ. You'll be telling experienced commercial people their data is wrong, and they need to thank you for it
  • Exceptionally hard working. You see work as a core part of your purpose
  • Fluent in ambiguity and chaos. Startups are not neat, this will be hard
  • Curious and resourceful. You can figure anything out
  • Clear, quantified achievements on your CV, not vague descriptions

What this role is not:

  • Not a reporting or BI role where you build dashboards and hand them over
  • Not a sales role, and not a sales-support role that takes instructions from account executives
  • Not a CRM administrator job. The tool is the smallest part of it
  • Not for someone who needs defined processes and hierarchy to be effective

🚀 Why This Role Is Different

Most revenue operations roles inherit a system and tune it. You'll write ours.

At a company that takes on legal liability for its merchants, revenue operations is not admin. Pricing accuracy is margin. Time-to-live is retention. Forecast quality is how we decide what to build and who to hire. Get it right and the whole company moves faster, permanently.

We expect whoever is in this role to grow rapidly into leading the function, and we'll back you every step of the way.

🦾 Outpost Team

Our team were leaders at Revolut, Airwallex, Adyen and Wayflyer, and we're backed by top-tier investors who have built or backed some of the world's leading fintechs.

🧾 What We Offer

  • Equity and salary in a well-funded startup
  • Ability to own your work and move fast
  • World-class training from operators who've scaled globally
  • A global mission with real impact
  • Low politics, high output
  • Chance to grow into a senior leadership role
  • A culture of builders, not talkers

🧭 Working Style

We work together in person in London 5 days a week. We believe the hardest problems are solved in the room.
