Role overview
The Revenue Optimisation Manager owns the initiatives that protect and grow revenue from Planet's existing customer and partner base. You will hold a continuous view of the key revenue KPIs — with Signing-to-Revenue (S2R), Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) & TF conversion at the centre — identify where value is leaking or upside is unclaimed, size and prioritize the interventions, and drive them to a measured result through owners across the business.
This is not a reporting role. Where analysis is needed you will commission or build it; where a decision is needed you will bring the evidence and secure it. Success is measured in revenue delivered and protected, not in dashboards produced.
What you'll do
- Centralize and own the revenue initiative portfolio
- Build and maintain a single prioritized backlog of revenue initiatives across all products, channels and geographies.
- Size every initiative on in-year and annualized revenue impact, effort and confidence, and sequence the portfolio on that basis rather than on who shouts loudest.
- Secure a named owner and a clear next step for every live initiative, and hold those owners to delivery through a regular, visible cadence.
- Keep an always-on view of the key revenue KPIs
- Define and maintain the core revenue KPI set
- Work with Dashboards & Analytics to hold those KPIs in a standing, self-serve view that refreshes automatically rather than being rebuilt each month – enable key stakeholders to self serve
- Own the commentary behind the numbers — what moved, why, and what is being done about it — and turn it into concise updates for commercial leadership.
- Turn insight and AI into commercial action
- Work with the AI team to build the tools required to drive revenue growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How success will be measured
Who you are
- Demonstrable experience driving revenue or margin improvement in payments, fintech or a similarly commercial B2B environment — owning outcomes, not only reporting them.
- A strong commercial and analytical mind: comfortable sizing an opportunity, building a business case, and challenging a number that does not look right.
- Track record of running a portfolio of initiatives to completion through people who do not report to you, with the credibility and persistence that requires.
- Excellent stakeholder management across Sales, Product, Finance, Operations and Technology, including at senior level and across multiple geographies.
- Clear, concise communicator who can turn a complex picture into a short recommendation an executive audience can act on.
