Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service via telephone, webchat, and digital communication platforms.
  • Strive for resolution of inquiries at the first point of contact.
  • Assist customers in accessing council services and utilizing online self-service tools.
  • Identify and support vulnerable customers or those needing additional assistance.
  • Uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing contact center or customer service setting.
  • Familiarity with handling inquiries related to Council Tax, Council Tax Support, or Housing Benefits.
  • Background in working within a Local Government environment.
  • Competence in managing complex customer inquiries and resolving complaints.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in customer service, revenues, benefits, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
