The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revenues Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining Council Tax, Sundry Debt and Business Rates accounts, applying relevant legislation and sound decision-making skills to ensure accuracy and effective service.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong customer service abilities and confident IT skills.

You should be a persuasive negotiator who is able to work independently as well as within a supportive team environment.
While previous knowledge of revenues work is preferred, it is not essential, as full training will be provided for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debt accounts
- Apply legislation and organisational procedures to make informed decisions
- Provide high-quality customer service to residents, businesses, and internal teams
- Use IT systems effectively to manage and process account information
- Work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Engage in persuasive and professional negotiation when required

- Have a keen eye for details
- Possess strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident in using IT systems
- Can negotiate effectively and remain professional under pressure
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
