Reward Analyst

Role summary

Are you looking to develop your career in Reward and build experience across job evaluation, benchmarking, pay analysis and reward projects?

As a Reward Analyst at CMS, you will support the Reward & Benefits team across a broad range of reward activities. This includes job evaluation, organisational change reviews, annual reward processes, market benchmarking and reward data analysis.

This is an opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in reward, compensation and job evaluation while working closely with experienced colleagues in a busy and evolving team.

About The Team

You will join the Reward & Benefits team during a period of transformation. The team is supporting a range of reward initiatives, including job evaluation activity, organisational change programmes and the ongoing development of Workday Advanced Compensation.

Working alongside experienced reward professionals, you will gain exposure to salary benchmarking, pay analysis, annual compensation processes and reward governance.

What you'll do

  • Support job evaluation reviews by analysing role profiles, maintaining evaluation records and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with reward activity linked to organisational and business change, including preparing data, maintaining trackers and supporting analysis of impacted roles and employee groups.
  • Support pay analysis by collating pay, grade and role data, checking data quality and helping prepare insight for review by senior reward colleagues.
  • Contribute to market benchmarking exercises by reviewing job evaluation outcomes and preparing comparison data to support reward decisions.
  • Support annual reward activities, including salary reviews, bonus reviews, pay gap reporting and EU pay transparency requirements.
  • Help maintain accurate reward data and support the delivery of ongoing reward projects.

What you'll bring

Experience And Skills

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of job evaluation and role benchmarking.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders in a reward, people analytics or similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

Desirable

  • Experience using Power BI, VBA or SQL, or an interest in developing these skills.
  • Experience of salary benchmarking for roles outside the UK.
