Reward & Performance Manager
3-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Mid-November – Mid-February - £350 per day
A global organisation is looking for an experienced Reward & Performance Manager to support the delivery of its annual performance management and salary review cycle on a three-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role working closely with the Head of Reward. You’ll take ownership of coordinating the process from preparation and launch through to manager submissions, validation, calibration, senior leadership reporting and final implementation handover.
The role would suit someone who is highly organised, advanced in Excel, comfortable working with detailed employee data and confident managing multiple stakeholders against tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the annual performance and salary review cycle across a complex, multi-country organisation.
- Build and maintain detailed process trackers covering employee populations, managers, deadlines, submissions, and approvals.
- Prepare and quality-check employee data, templates, and manager guidance ahead of launch.
- Produce individual salary pot sheets for managers, ensuring employee, salary, performance, eligibility, and budget data is accurate.
- Manage the issue, return, and approval process, following up with managers and People stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
- Validate returned submissions, checking formulas, budgets, eligibility, performance ratings, and proposed salary outcomes.
- Identify and manage exceptions, outliers, overspends, and inconsistencies, maintaining a clear audit trail through to resolution.
- Support calibration and fairness analysis across functions, countries, and employee groups.
- Produce clear reporting and analysis for the Head of Reward and Senior Leadership Team, including budget utilisation, rating distributions, and salary outcomes.
- Consolidate approved changes into a controlled master dataset and support the final handover for implementation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and strong governance around sensitive employee and remuneration data.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
