Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - until end of 2027.

Location: Hybrid - this role can be based out of our Birmingham, Edinburgh or Telford office.

Flexible working: All roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process. You can read more about flexible working here.

Salary and benefits: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE plus an indicative bonus range of 8%-16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Reward Consultant to join our Reward team on a temporary basis to support the delivery of key reward and benefits activities during a critical period.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full spectrum of reward activities, supporting the design, implementation and governance of reward programmes that help attract, retain and motivate our colleagues.

As a trusted reward specialist, you will partner with HR Business Partners, People colleagues and stakeholders to deliver fair, competitive and commercially effective reward outcomes. You'll play a key role in the annual reward cycle, support the ongoing development of our reward framework and benefits proposition, and provide data-driven insight to support reward decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the annual compensation cycle, including discretionary pay review and bonus processes.
  • Contribute to reward projects, business change activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide reward advice and guidance to HR colleagues on pay, incentives, job evaluation and reward policies.
  • Undertake reward analysis, modelling and scenario planning to support reward decisions, governance and business outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret complex reward and people data, producing meaningful insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Support colleague benefits programmes, including benefits renewals and colleague communications.
  • Support reward governance activities, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation and compliance.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience working within a Reward function, ideally as a Reward Consultant or Reward Analyst.
  • Experience supporting annual compensation cycles, including discretionary salary review and bonus processes.
  • Benefits experience, including benefits admin, and colleague communications.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, reward modelling, data validation, formulae and analysis.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Experience producing reward recommendations and supporting decision-making through robust data analysis.
  • Experience delivering multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
