We are partnering with a luxury hospitality business who are looking to hire a Compensation and Benefits Manager on an initial 12-month FTC. This is a brand-new role for the business, traditionally Reward has been managed by payroll and external consultancies and now there is a need for a Reward specialist to come in and build out the compensation and benefits strategy moving forward.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who like being part of a build out, to help design a stronger, competitive and more consistent reward framework moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the current compensation framework, including salary structures, pay bands, job evaluation methodologies and overall reward practices.
- Benchmark our total reward offering against relevant hospitality and broader industry markets, drawing on established market data and benchmarking expertise, ideally with WTW experience.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies and areas of opportunity, developing clear, practical recommendations to strengthen the overall reward proposition.
- Review the annual pay review process to ensure greater consistency, transparency and fairness, while strengthening alignment with business strategy and performance.
- Evaluate existing incentive arrangements, including service charge distribution, bonus schemes and other performance-related reward mechanisms, assessing their effectiveness and alignment with our objectives.
- Develop proposals for a future-focused, sustainable reward framework that supports the attraction, retention, motivation and engagement of talent.
- Partner closely with Finance and HR to assess the financial, operational and organisational impact of proposed changes, ensuring recommendations are both commercially viable and practical to implement.
- Review the benefits offering and identify opportunities to improve value, relevance and colleagues engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
