🚀 Are you an experienced Interim Reward Consultant specialising in the scale-up technology or biotech sector?

The business is looking for an experienced Reward specialist to come in and build a simple, transparent and scalable job levelling and salary framework from the ground up.

🎯 The project

You’ll take ownership of:

  • Designing a job levelling framework of around 7 levels
  • Developing clear salary bands across multiple technical and corporate disciplines
  • Creating career progression and competency frameworks covering technical expertise, leadership, role scope and organisational impact
  • Conducting external market salary benchmarking
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders and department heads
  • Presenting the final framework to the Leadership Team

You’ll be working across highly technical teams, including areas such as Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering and Discovery Science.

👀 I’m looking for someone who has:

  • A strong track record as an independent Interim Reward Consultant
  • Delivered job architecture, job levelling, salary banding and benchmarking projects
  • Experience within high-growth technology, AI, biotech or life sciences environments
  • Ideally worked with scale-ups of around 100–300 employees
  • The analytical capability to work confidently with highly technical stakeholders
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to keep reward frameworks simple, transparent and scalable

📍 Project details

  • Duration: ~6 weeks
  • Commitment: Full-time, 5 days per week
  • IR35: Outside IR35
  • Location: Flexible hybrid, with some on-site stakeholder engagement
  • Day rate: Competitive / dependent on experience
  • Process: CV review + one face-to-face interview
