Position Overview
Supports the development and delivery of the Total Reward strategy and framework across ANV Insurance. Ensures all Reward activities are compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards, while providing subject matter expert advice and operational support to HR and business stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
- In conjunction with the CHRO and Sr. HR Business Partner, coordinates and leads execution of the annual compensation review process, ensuring strong partnering and communication with all relevant stakeholders throughout to meet governance and reporting requirements and ensure that outcomes are fair, consistent and appropriate.
- Manages the ANV variable pay plans, ensuring they remain fit for purpose, drive the right behaviour and meet regulatory (including SII) requirements. Maintains robust and compliant plan documentation and ensures that variable pay is accrued appropriately (in conjunction with the Finance team).
- Partners with the business as required in the development of new variable pay plans, ensuring all key stakeholders are engaged in the process.
- Manages the development and maintenance of the job evaluation framework and associated governance.
- Ensures robust benchmarking processes are in place and coordinates participation in the agreed annual benchmarking surveys.
- Leads the development and review of salary ranges, ensuring adoption of applicable best practices.
- Contributes to the development, review, implementation and documentation of reward-related policies and procedures, ensuring clarity, compliance and alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares required reporting to meet regulatory requirements, including gender pay gap reporting, and keeps abreast of changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Provides support for the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, drafting remuneration related papers required for quarterly/ad-hoc meetings.
- Leads the production of accurate cost assumptions in relation to employee benefits for inclusion in the annual budgeting process.
- Supports Benefits & Wellness as required in the renewal, implementation and management of new and existing benefit offerings.
- Ensures pension arrangements remain appropriate and meet regulatory requirements and leads on the implementation of changes as required.
- Provides guidance to HR Business Partners, managers and employees on Reward matters, including compensation, pension, benefits (as required) and regulatory obligations.
- Supports the resolution of complex employee Reward queries and participates in change projects as required.
- Keeps up to date with market trends and regulatory changes, recommending enhancements to the Reward offering, policies or procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the on-going needs of the organisation.

Qualifications, Experience, Competence
Qualifications
- Tertiary education with a degree in a relevant discipline and/or a professional qualification in HR – desirable.

- Seasoned reward professional with experience ideally gained within a regulated financial services or insurance environment.
- Experience of managing compensation, benefits and pensions offering across an international remit/multiple countries.
- Will have designed and led robust compensation planning cycles.
- Will have gained experience in variable pay plan design, ensuring plans meets the desired business requirements and are compliant with all regulatory/legal obligations. Experience will have included the drafting of the associated pay plan documentation.
- Experience of preparing documentation for Remuneration Committees.
- Strong working experience of formal job evaluation frameworks and benchmarking principles. Willis Towers Watson experience highly advantageous.
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and experience interpreting data.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Good written communication skills; able to draft clear, accurate documentation and communication materials.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential and good PowerPoint skills would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of total reward and the requirements for successful day-to-day implementation.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for the financial services/insurance sector (Solvency II) and the required impact to plan design and governance.
