Introducing TechPoint

TechPoint Group is one of the largest UK-owned CEMs. We supply EMS and supply chain services to leading technology companies across the UK and Europe. We operate from a modern, clean environment to support customers in the commercial, space, defence, transport, audio, motorsport, and instrumentation sectors. We have opened a new world-class facility and are looking for new talented people to join us on this exciting journey.

The Role

To carry out rework (repair and modification) of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in accordance with company quality standards, IPC specifications, and customer requirements. The Reworker ensures that all assemblies meet functional, visual, and reliability criteria before release to the next stage of production or shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Rework and Repair Tasks

    • Perform component replacement, solder joint rework, and circuit modifications on through-hole and surface mount (SMT) assemblies.
    • Use hand soldering tools, hot air stations, and rework equipment safely and effectively.
    • Remove and replace components following correct ESD and thermal handling procedures.
    • Carry out rework based on engineering change notices (ECNs), defect reports, or customer returns (RMA).
  • Inspection and Quality Assurance

    • Visually inspect assemblies to IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 standards.
    • Verify rework results using microscopes, magnifiers, and test equipment.
    • Record and report defects, repair actions, and results accurately in production documentation or quality systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
