Overview
Satāya is representing a specialist technical training provider in the appointment of an RF Engineering Training Consultant. Our client has secured a significant opportunity to design and deliver a structured engineering training programme on behalf of a major institutional client.
The successful candidate will play a central role in both the pre-award and delivery phases of this engagement, contributing to curriculum development and bid activity in the first instance, with a clear path to leading programme delivery should the contract be awarded.
This is a technically demanding and commercially significant role, suited to an experienced RF professional who can communicate complex engineering concepts with clarity and credibility in a training environment.
Key Responsibilities
1) Curriculum Development & Programme Design
- Lead the development of a structured training curriculum covering the core RF engineering disciplines required by the programme
- Translate complex technical content into accessible, well-sequenced learning materials designed for early-career STEM professionals transitioning into an RF specialism
- Sequence content across a multi-week virtual programme, balancing technical rigour with instructional clarity
- Ensure the curriculum design is aligned to the practical requirements of the subsequent embedded placement phase

2) Programme Delivery
- Deliver virtual training sessions across all agreed technical topics with precision, confidence and professional presence
- Adapt delivery style to suit participants entering the RF field from foundational STEM backgrounds
- Monitor participant understanding and adjust pacing or content to ensure effective knowledge transfer
- Maintain a consistently high standard of instructional quality throughout the programme
3) Technical Subject Matter Expertise
- Bring demonstrable expertise across the core RF and electromagnetic disciplines required
- Provide authoritative guidance on signal processing, electromagnetic spectrum, electronic warfare principles and their practical applications
- Apply working knowledge of RF-adjacent fields, including data science, RF cyber, and software development for RF environments
- Ensure all technical content remains accurate, current and appropriately contextualised to the operating environment
4) Bid Support & Client Engagement
- Support the pre-award phase by contributing to curriculum scoping, documentation and client-facing meetings
- Participate in client calls with professionalism and commercial awareness
- Communicate programme structure clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders where required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Substantial professional background in Radio Frequency engineering or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in technical training, instruction or education delivery within an engineering context
- Deep technical knowledge across several of the following: RF fundamentals, signal processing, electronic warfare (EW), ESM, EA, ECM, PNT systems, FPGA applications, RF data science, RF cyber, and software development for RF environments (Python, C, C++)
- Familiarity with complex, regulated technical operating environments
- Eligible for security clearance, or holding existing clearance, is strongly advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical depth into clear, engaging instruction
- Self-directed and commercially aware; able to contribute meaningfully across both the bid and delivery phases
- Comfortable working within a virtual delivery environment
