About the Role

We are seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to support a busy radio testing programme focused on consumer electronic products. Working within a laboratory environment, you will play a key role in the testing, validation and compliance of products, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with hands-on RF testing experience who enjoys working in a structured, technically challenging environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct RF testing using a range of specialist test equipment, including spectrum analysers and oscilloscopes.
  • Operate and maintain RF test chambers and associated laboratory equipment.
  • Support the planning, scheduling and execution of daily test laboratory activities.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to verify and validate product performance.
  • Produce accurate test records, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all testing activities are completed in accordance with relevant accreditation, quality and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and investigation of test failures and performance issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an RF testing, RF laboratory or related engineering environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and RF chambers.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, measurement techniques and testing methodologies.
  • Experience executing structured test procedures and documenting results.
  • Ability to work within regulated processes while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting consumer electronics or wireless communication products.
  • Knowledge of RF compliance and industry testing standards.
  • Familiarity with laboratory accreditation requirements and quality management systems.
  • Experience working within EMC, wireless or radio frequency test environments.
