The Role
As an Senior RF Environment Test Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the establishment of the Belgian Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Support Centre (JEWSC), helping to deliver sovereign Electronic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Intelligence (EMI), Mission Data and Counter-Uncrewed Air Systems (C-UAS) capabilities for the Belgium MOD.
Day-to-day, you'll support the development, operation and continuous improvement of representative RF test and experimentation environments, designing and executing realistic electromagnetic threat scenarios that enable the testing, validation and performance assessment of EW systems, sensors, Mission Data products and C-UAS capabilities. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll help ensure test environments accurately reflect operational electromagnetic battlespaces and support the development of an enduring sovereign RF testing capability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining representative RF test environments to support Electronic Warfare, Electromagnetic Intelligence, Mission Data and C-UAS activities
- Designing realistic electromagnetic threat scenarios, emitter profiles and operational RF environments for experimentation and capability assessment
- Configuring, operating and integrating advanced RF test and simulation environments, including RF generation, recording, playback and signal analysis capabilities
- Supporting laboratory, field and synthetic environment testing activities and Test & Evaluation programmes
- Developing test methodologies, procedures and validation approaches for EW and EMI systems
- Working with SMEs, analysts and engineers to support representative threat modelling, mission data validation and capability development

Essential experience of the Senior RF Environment Test Engineer:
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant technical experience in the development, operation and continuous improvement of RF test and experimentation environments
- Strong knowledge of RF engineering, Electronic Warfare, signal processing, Electromagnetic Intelligence and Mission Data principles
- Experience designing, configuring and operating RF test, simulation or threat generation environments
- Experience using RF test instrumentation and supporting laboratory integration, system troubleshooting and technical investigations
- Experience supporting Test & Evaluation planning, execution and reporting activities across complex technical programmes
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop representative threat environments and operationally realistic test scenarios
Essential qualifications for the RF Environment Test Engineer:
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering, Physics, Electronic Warfare, RF or technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience

This role is primarily based at our Belgium office. Regular collaboration with Belgium MOD, UK MOD and industry partners will be required. Travel between UK and Belgium customer sites will be required. Candidates should be willing to relocate to Belgium or undertake a regular weekly commute.
