Ride Operator Opportunity at Madame Tussauds, London

We have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Ride Operator to join our fun-packed operations team here at Madame Tussauds, London’s world-famous attraction that combines immersive entertainment, iconic experiences, and lifelike celebrity figures all under one roof!
Role Overview
As one of our Ride Operators, you’ll be enhancing our guests’ experience by ensuring a smooth and safe ride experience through the Spirit of London Ride. In addition, you’ll be contributing your ideas and collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the attraction day by day. As a Ride Operator, you will be supervising our ride team, both on the day, and also in terms of coaching and training!
Ultimately, as Ride Operator, you’ll be ensuring that our guests’ get the most out of their visit with us by taking ownership of their experience, monitoring and maintaining a premium quality experience on the rides and premium quality standards throughout the building. This includes monitoring the condition and appearance of our exhibits and ensuring exceptional standards are maintained throughout the attraction.
Working on the Rides
You’ll be required to maintain focus, with your eyes locked on our ride screens for long periods of time, ready to raise the alarm and direct your team, should anything hazardous or dangerous be taking place. Here you will be responsible for monitoring guest safety while ensuring every visitor enjoys an outstanding experience.

Contributing to the Wider Attraction
When supporting other areas of the attraction you may be required to wear a costume and be trained on using props to deliver immersive guest interactions. This will incorporate all areas that fall under the Ride & Show team including the Spirit of London Ride, 4D Experience, and Immersive areas!
Position Details
We are offering a permanent position, offering a minimum of 30 hours per week! You’ll need to be flexible during school holidays as times and days may change.
If you're someone who enjoys taking the lead, supporting others, and giving guests a great experience, there could be a fantastic opportunity to progress into a Team Leader role in the future.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous guest-facing experience with great customer care and customer focus skills is essential
- To have experience working on a Type 2 Rides would be nice, but if not, don’t worry - we’ll train you!
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable to work alone
- Health and Safety aware
- Experience in a Supervisor or Team Lead position is ideal to be able to effectively coach others - but we’ll invest in the right person and train you!
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and a passion for creating magical moments
- Great communicator fully comfortable with guest interaction

Pay Range
From GBP £14.04/Hr.
