About The Role

As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by bp (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Rigger to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
Role purpose: To provide dimensionally accurate rigging/erecting support for on-site project work.
What you'll be doing
- Reading out and interpreting drawings, symbols and specifications
- Safely attaching loads to cranes, rigging equipment and overseeing lifting operations
- Extracting information from sources such as method statements and engineering drawings to establish the most appropriate method of moving loads
- Utilising specialist equipment to lift and position loads, including loads from various plant and equipment to structural steel

Who we're looking for
- Must have a valid CCNSG
- Evidence of Competency as a tradesman (City & Guilds/NVQ/ACE)
- Have the ability to interpret specifications and engineering drawing
