Right Hand to Founder / Founder’s Associate
I’m hiring a Right Hand to Founder / Founder’s Associate to join me at Mash Studios.
Mash Studios is a new media business focused on building original podcast and content formats, founded by me and my long-time business partner (and best friend), Luke.
Together, we’ve built three businesses and exited two of them.
Our current business, Lucky Egg, was named the fastest-growing founder-led business in the UK by FEBE in 2026 and the second fastest-growing private company in the UK by The Sunday Times in 2026.
Lucky Egg has generated more than 1.5 billion social media views, with products sold internationally through retailers including Walmart and Target.
Before that, we built Central 23, which featured in The Sunday Times 100 in 2024 and was sold in 2025.

The opportunity
I’m looking for someone exceptional to join at the very beginning and work directly alongside me.
You don’t need any media experience.
In fact, I’m much more interested in how you think than what industry you’ve worked in before.
The role will involve taking ideas from a blank sheet of paper, rapidly understanding unfamiliar markets, speaking to customers and commercial partners, testing assumptions, building business cases and helping turn the strongest opportunities into real businesses.

- Strong judgement with low ego: Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, cutting through the noise and identifying what actually matters, while being equally happy to change direction when the evidence says they should.
- Solutions-oriented: Takes ambiguous problems, gets to the bottom of them quickly and comes back with a recommendation, not just a list of questions.
- No ego about the work: Equally comfortable thinking strategically and doing the unglamorous groundwork themselves when that’s what is needed to move something forward.
- An owner: Treats whatever they are building as their own mini business, understanding the customer, product, revenue, costs and ultimately whether it deserves to exist.

What matters most
The most important thing for me is evidence.
Lots of people can describe themselves as entrepreneurial, proactive or commercially minded.
I want to hear about the times you actually demonstrated those qualities:
- Something you built from scratch.
- An opportunity you spotted without being asked.
- A completely unfamiliar problem you threw yourself into.
- A time you spoke to customers, changed your view quickly and acted on what you learned.
- A situation where you moved unusually fast and made something happen.
This is not a narrowly defined corporate role.
It is an opportunity to work extremely closely with a founder, learn how new businesses are built from the inside and take a huge amount of ownership from day one.
