Risk Analyst Opportunity in the London Insurance Market
You've built your grounding in insurance Risk within the insurance market. You've done the risk assessments, controls, KRIs and reporting. You've learnt how the framework works and probably spent a fair amount of time making sure everything is where it needs to be.
But perhaps you're getting to the stage where you want a bit more.
More ownership.
More analysis.
More exposure to the wider business.
And more opportunity to actually use what you've learnt rather than simply administer it.
I'm recruiting for a Risk Analyst within the London Insurance Market that I think could be a really interesting next step for someone at exactly that point in their career.
You'll still have the technical grounding of Risk, but you'll also get involved in areas such as emerging risks, stress and scenario testing, root-cause analysis and providing second-line input into risk assessments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll prepare reporting that goes to senior management, Committees and Boards and, importantly, you'll be building relationships with people across the business.
What I'm Looking For
You don't need to be the finished article.
But you will need to have built a good grounding in insurance Risk, within the London Market or Lloyd's.
I'm looking for someone with at least 2 years' Risk Management experience, who understands risk assessments, appetite, KRIs, controls and ORSA and has had some experience preparing Risk reports for senior management, Committees or Boards.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
If you've also had exposure to scenario testing and emerging risks, even better, but that's desirable rather than essential.
Most importantly, this is for someone who feels they've built the foundations and is now ready for more ownership, more exposure and more opportunity to develop.
