Risk Analyst

Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Overview

Our client is an established UK mobility services organisation seeking a Risk Analyst to join its Asset Risk Modelling team.

The role will support the forecasting and management of key financial risks, including residual values, maintenance costs, insurance lease pricing, customer pricing, and economic capital. Reporting to the Asset Risk Modelling Manager, the successful candidate will help ensure forecasting models are robust, well governed, and effectively embedded within business decision-making.

Working within a matrix structure, the role will combine model operation, risk oversight, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. It will also support strategic modelling projects and promote best practice across the wider Asset Risk function.

Responsibilities

  • Apply and maintain the model risk management framework across the Asset Risk function.
  • Monitor model health, processing, controls, audit requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Identify model risks and issues, escalating concerns and supporting the delivery of appropriate solutions.
  • Complete accurate and timely updates for models relating to residual values, maintenance expenditure, insurance, customer pricing, and economic capital.
  • Review model data, assumptions, techniques, forecasts, and policy assessments using sound critical judgement.
  • Explain model processes, changes, and outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of model design, data inputs, assumptions, and statistical techniques.
  • Challenge model outputs where appropriate and help align them with wider business requirements.
  • Support senior modelling colleagues with strategic projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Work with business subject-matter experts to ensure shared ownership of model outputs and outcomes.
  • Ensure models are clearly understood and used as practical business tools rather than isolated technical solutions.
  • Use data and modelling platforms, including cloud-based machine learning and data warehouse technologies.
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams to improve modelling tools, systems, and processes.
  • Coordinate business-as-usual activity and strategic delivery across Asset Risk teams within a matrix environment.
  • Support wider Asset Risk priorities and deliverables when required.
  • Promote modelling best practice, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Support the coaching and development of colleagues.
  • Build effective, long-term relationships with Asset Risk stakeholders and wider business teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
