Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Risk Analyst to support our Investment Risk & Counterparty Risk ("ICR") team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate who is interested in financial services, investments, and risk management.

Reporting Structure

Reporting to Head of Asset Risk, the successful candidate will provide support across the wider ICR team, working closely with Asset Risk, Credit Rating Oversight and Validation and Counterparty Risk.

Role Purpose

The role will provide additional team capacity while offering meaningful development for the successful candidate through hands-on experience, exposure to senior stakeholders and mentoring from experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of risk reports and management information packs for a range of stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Assist with improving and maintaining the data infrastructure and reporting tools that support investment risk oversight including designing dashboards and report automation.
  • Support the ICR team with maintenance of clear, accurate records and supporting evidence for risk reviews, recommendations, approvals and follow-up actions
  • Responsible for coordinating team activities, submissions to governance forums and broader deliverables to ensure they are well organised and progressed on time.
  • Engagement with teams across Investment, Risk, Operations, Finance and Technology to obtain data and understand business processes.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint skills.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with strong common sense and judgement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity, learning agility, and a genuine interest in financial services.
  • Ability to analyse information and communicate findings clearly and concisely.

Desirable

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to financial services, investments, risk management, or asset management through internships, placements, or work experience.
  • Experience using data analysis and reporting tools including Tableau, SQL and Python
