Job Title: Risk Analyst
We are working with a leading specialist UK law firm to hire a Risk Analyst. In this role, you will support the Compliance team in maintaining regulatory compliance, ISO 9001 accreditation, effective risk management and continuous improvement across the firm.
The firm is looking for someone educated to degree standard or equivalent, with experience in a law firm compliance role and knowledge of SRA requirements, AML regulations, GDPR and quality management systems. You will be organised, proactive and detail-focused, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Risk Executives in maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Logging, updating and monitoring compliance and improvement registers and spreadsheets.
- Undertaking file audits and assisting with external audit organisation and participation.
- Working with divisional compliance champions to understand legal and business service activities.
- Coordinating the review and updating of policies and procedures.
- Attending divisional meetings and reporting on governance and risk matters.
- Coordinating the claims register and liaising with external insurers.
- Assisting with information gathering for indemnity insurance and other renewals.
- Researching and contributing to policies, procedures and committee papers.
- Preparing reports and papers for relevant committees.
- Conducting monthly bogus firm reviews and assisting with weekly horizon scanning.
- Supporting and delivering compliance training.
- Providing clear, tailored communications to different internal audiences.
- Managing your own workload while collaborating effectively across the wider team.
- Travelling to other offices when required.
