Risk Analytics Manager - Banking - Power BI - Python

Excellent opportunity to join an International Bank as their new Risk Analytics Manager. You will play a key role in leading the Advanced Analytics function, through hands-on technical delivery, stakeholder management, and people development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Advanced Analytics team, with full line management responsibility for the team;
  • Own the intake, prioritisation, and delivery of advanced analytics work across the Risk function and agreed service-partner engagements;
  • Act as the primary advanced analytics interface with senior stakeholders, both in and out of the Risk function, and ensure that the service-partner operating model runs smoothly by actively supporting the setting of scope, timelines, and delivery expectations;
  • Lead the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions including regular reporting and dashboards with a focus on scalability and automation;
  • Drive and actively support modernisation initiatives that enable high value analysis, operational resilience, and structural efficiency;
  • Actively support and contribute to the delivery of the wider business plan of the Advanced Analytics and Frameworks area;
  • Actively promote and ensure adherence to the Bank's Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation of concerns to relevant senior stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience leading analytics teams within business functions in Banking or Financial Services;
  • Be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills including experience influencing senior stakeholders and building an effective cross-functional professional network;
  • Be able to demonstrate hands-on analytics capability alongside people leadership experience;
  • Possess strong communication and organisational skills, be able to maintain engagement while managing competing priorities;
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge and successful deployment of market-leading analytics tools such as Power BI solutions and automation via Python tooling;
  • Have a proven track record of coaching and developing analysts;
  • Be familiar with regulatory expectations relevant to Risk.
