We’re currently looking for a Risk & Assurance Analyst to join our team in Portsmouth! This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration within the team and other colleagues across the business.

Here’s The Facts About The Role

We're looking for a Risk & Assurance Analyst to join our Strategy, Planning and Corporate Development team and play a key role in supporting our risk, assurance and compliance activities across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing information, identifying emerging risks and helping to ensure VIVID remain compliant, resilient and well governed. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll contribute to the ongoing development of our risk management framework, support governance activities and help embed a positive risk-aware culture across the organisation.

In this varied role, you'll coordinate risk reviews with managers and stakeholders, helping to identify and assess risks, review controls and monitor mitigating actions. The role also involves horizon scanning for emerging risks, regulatory developments and sector changes, maintaining risk and issues logs, and producing insightful reports for senior leaders, the Executive Team, Audit & Risk Committee and Board. In addition, you'll help ensure organisational policies remain up to date, coordinate responses to external consultations and support business continuity planning and testing activities across the business.

  • Experience working within a governance, risk, assurance, compliance or internal audit environment
  • A strong understanding of risk management principles and practical experience supporting risk reviews, maintaining risk registers and producing risk reporting
  • Excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex information, identify themes and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills who can build effective relationships across the organisation, manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • An understanding of the social housing sector, including current challenges, emerging issues and the wider operating environment
