Robert Half has partnered with a consultancy firm to recruit for a Risk and Compliance Associate on an interim basis.
About the role
This is a broad, hands-on interim role supporting a Head of Risk & Compliance with day-to-day governance, information security and data protection activities. You'll help keep certifications on track, support audit cycles, and step in for the department lead during periods of absence.

Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day GDPR queries and act as a first point of contact for the business on data protection matters
- Help maintain risk registers at departmental and corporate level
- Coordinate audit cycles, tracking documents and improvement plans across the certification calendar
- Support ISO27001 and ISO9001 certification activities, including liaison with external auditors
- Contribute Risk & Compliance input to bids and customer due diligence questionnaires
- Review and maintain corporate governance policies
- Support supplier due diligence and security policy reviews

What you'll bring
- Background in a governance, risk or compliance function, ideally including risk register ownership
- Hands-on experience with ISO certification processes and external audits
- Solid grounding in information security fundamentals
- Confident stakeholder management across all levels, including clients and auditors
- Comfortable working autonomously and picking up ownership at short notice
Desirable
- DPO experience, or experience supporting one
- ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP or CISM
- Prior experience deputising for a senior compliance or security leader
