An elite US law firm is looking to appoint a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join its highly regarded London office. Working closely with the Head of Risk, this is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified lawyer to play a key role in supporting the firm's UK and European businesses across a broad range of regulatory, compliance, ethical, commercial, and data protection matters.
This position offers exposure to senior stakeholders across the firm and the opportunity to develop specialist expertise within a sophisticated international risk and compliance function.
Please note: this is a fully office-based role, five days per week, based in the firm's exceptional offices. This opportunity is best suited to candidates who enjoy working onsite within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

As part of the European Risk & Compliance team, you will:
- Advise lawyers and business services teams on risk and compliance matters.
- Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of the SRA Standards and Regulations.
- Review and negotiate engagement letters, client terms, outside counsel guidelines and related documentation.
- Draft and review secondment agreements, commercial contracts and supplier arrangements.
- Support client audits, RFPs, questionnaires and tender responses.
- Assist with the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
- Advise on UK GDPR, privacy and data protection matters.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified lawyer with minimum 1-3 years' PQE
- Experience gained within an international or leading commercial law firm
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in legal risk, regulatory compliance and professional responsibility
- Familiarity with SRA Standards & Regulations
- Exposure to data protection and GDPR matters
