Risk and Safeguarding Co-ordinator

About The Role

As Safeguarding and Risk Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting Psicon’s client safety culture. Working closely with the Clinical Leads for Risk and Triage, you will coordinate safeguarding and risk-related administration, monitor key communication channels, maintain accurate records and help ensure that agreed actions are completed promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding and Risk

  • Promote and support Psicon’s client safety culture.
  • Support the Clinical Leads for Risk and Triage with day-to-day tasks, projects and ad hoc administrative duties.
  • Monitor the safeguarding inbox, responding to or escalating enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Log safeguarding and risk notices accurately.
  • Follow up with external parties to confirm that safeguarding referrals and risk notices have been received and that appropriate action is being taken.
  • Follow up with colleagues to ensure that safeguarding and risk-related actions are completed.
  • Take accurate minutes at safeguarding and risk-related meetings.
  • Communicate agreed actions clearly and promptly to the relevant colleagues.

Subject Access Requests

  • Monitor the Subject Access Request inbox and respond promptly to internal and external enquiries.
  • For young people aged 12 and over, ensure that valid consent is obtained where appropriate and that the young person demonstrates an understanding of the implications of granting or withholding access, in accordance with UK GDPR guidance.
  • Review and appropriately redact Subject Access Requests in line with UK GDPR, Information Commissioner’s Office guidance and safeguarding considerations.
  • Ensure that statutory Subject Access Request deadlines are met.
  • Escalate potential delays, concerns or other issues to the Information Governance Lead.

About You

You will have previous experience in a safeguarding role and direct involvement in identifying, managing or supporting safeguarding processes. You will be comfortable working with sensitive information and able to exercise sound judgement while managing competing priorities.

You Will Also Have

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Experience of working to KPIs and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to remain calm, resilient and professional under pressure.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality client care and the highest standards of service.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues.
  • A discreet and professional approach to confidential and sensitive information.
