Our client, a top US law firm, is actively seeking an England & Wales Qualified Lawyer with a background in Risk & Compliance/Legal Conflicts, to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new Risk & Compliance Counsel.
You'll be part of a team of Attorneys, responsible for managing potential risks to the firm surrounding new clients, new matters, existing clients, and new personnel. This role reports directly into the Director of New Business & Conflicts.

As the successful Risk & Compliance Counsel, you'll be responsible for:
- Analysing and addressing potential conflicts associated with new business intake and lateral hires
- Ensuring that terms of engagement with clients comply with firm policy
- Drafting waivers and maintaining ethical walls
- Providing training for legal and non-legal staff on the firm's risk management and compliance policies/procedures
- Maintaining knowledge of trends/developments impacting conflicts
- Resolving complex issues alongside OGC, Risk Management Committees, and New Business leadership

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have/be the following:
- Be an England & Wales Qualified Lawyer
- Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience in Legal Conflicts and New Client Intake
- Be able to commute to the London office
- Ideally, have experience using platforms such as Intapp (Conflicts, Intake, Terms and Walls)
