A leading global insurance firm is looking for an experienced Risk & Compliance Framework Lead to join its team and play a key role in designing and implementing a new global risk and compliance framework.
This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who has genuinely built and implemented risk and compliance frameworks from the ground up and is comfortable working across complex international environments.
The framework will be implemented across approximately 16 countries, so the successful candidate will need to understand how to establish consistent global standards while adapting them to different regulatory requirements and jurisdictions.
The Role
You will take ownership of the design, development and implementation of the firm's risk and compliance framework, working closely with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
This is a hands-on position. The business is looking for someone with senior-level experience who still enjoys getting into the detail, building frameworks and delivering the work rather than simply managing through others.
You will play a key role in establishing a scalable, sustainable framework that provides consistency across the organisation while recognising local regulatory nuances.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a global risk and compliance framework from the ground up.
- Develop policies, standards, controls and governance structures to support the framework.
- Lead implementation across approximately 60 countries.
- Assess local regulatory requirements and incorporate jurisdiction-specific considerations into the global framework.
- Establish consistent risk and compliance methodologies across international operations.
- Work with local stakeholders to understand regulatory and operational differences.
- Develop clear governance, ownership and accountability models.
- Support the implementation of risk and compliance processes, controls and reporting.
- Identify gaps within existing risk and compliance arrangements and develop practical remediation plans.
- Work closely with technology and data teams to embed risk and compliance requirements into systems and processes.
- Support the use of Microsoft Purview and related Microsoft technologies within the risk, compliance and governance environment.
- Engage with senior stakeholders across risk, compliance, technology, legal and business functions.
- Provide practical guidance on regulatory requirements and framework implementation.
- Track implementation progress and ensure frameworks are embedded effectively across jurisdictions.
- Continuously review and improve the framework as regulatory expectations and business requirements evolve.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
