Rev & Regs are recruiting for a new 'Risk & Compliance Officer' role on behalf of an International Retail & Wholesale Bank in London.
Role Overview
The Risk and Compliance Officer will support the Risk and Compliance Managers in identifying, assessing and mitigating prudential, regulatory and compliance risks across the organisation. The role will contribute to a strong risk culture and support compliance with FCA, PRA and other applicable UK regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prudential Risk
- Coordinate the MRCC monthly meeting, including agendas, minutes, stakeholder updates and KRI reporting.
- Prepare monthly Risk and ALMAC reports, covering LCR, CAR, Leverage, IRRBB, FX, NSFR and weekly stress-testing analysis.
- Support the development and maintenance of the ICAAP, working with Finance, Credit Risk and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain, test and update the model inventory and assist with model risk assessments.
- Contribute to reviews of Pillar 3 disclosures, Risk Management policies and procedures.

Regulatory Compliance
- Support the development and delivery of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan, including monthly monitoring reviews, reporting and MI.
- Identify and escalate policy, regulatory and compliance breaches, supporting remediation and resolution within agreed timelines.
- Assist with the development of Compliance reports for Senior Management and the Board.
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning, maintaining the regulatory register and highlighting relevant developments and risks.
- Identify compliance risks arising from business activities, recommend appropriate mitigating actions, and monitor completion of remediation.
- Support the review and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures and practices.
Regulatory & Conduct Requirements
- Maintain an understanding of and comply with the FCA Handbook, PRA Rulebook, BCOBS and MCOBS.
- Support obligations under Consumer Duty, where applicable to retail customers, products or services.
- Demonstrate the required SM&CR Individual Conduct Rules, including integrity, due skill and care, regulatory openness, fair treatment of customers and delivering good customer outcomes.

Knowledge & Experience
- Degree-level qualification, ideally with banking/financial services experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Risk and Regulatory Compliance within a UK-regulated financial institution.
- Proven experience delivering or supporting bank-wide prudential risk and regulatory compliance monitoring programmes.
- Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including the FCA Handbook, PRA Rulebook, BCOBS and MCOBS.
- Strong numerical, analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

London Office - 5 days a week
Salary
£45,000 - £55,000 pa + bonus + benefits package
